“Lighten Strikes Twice” - It's been said that lightening doesn't strike twice in the same place. That was proven to be incorrect in the season opener between the Sanford hedges. Lightening delayed the game for thirty minutes with 8:35 left in the third quarter, as well as canceling it outright with nearly ten minutes left on the final clock. And that's just the weather. The electrically charged combo of Nick Chubb(#27) and Keith Marshall(#4) sent a jolt through the Warhawks combining for 4 rushing TD's that will keep their singed tail feathers smoldering all the way back to Louisiana. The defense, led by Jordan Jenkins, held the visitors from Monroe to a meager 251 total yards. Virginia transfer QB Greyson Lambert looked solid in his debut throwing 8-for-12 for 141 yards and two scores in a dominating victory to start the season.
